How to get destiny trait in Stellaris? ›

With Galactic Paragons: Leaders are able to select a trait to gain or upgrade every time they level up. At level 4, they can choose a Veteran Class and, at level 8, they can choose a Destiny Trait.

Cautious is really good (10% weapon range), though it's less good for chasing a fleet since you will spwan on top of them. Aggressive is really good (8% fire rate). Unyielding is another good one (10% hull points). Ship logistician is nice, but most admirals get it anyway when they are leading a large fleet.

Leaders tend to get traits related to their current assignment. Leaders have a Maximum Negative Traits number of 4 at base.

The mean lifespan with no modifiers is 88 years, 6 months.

Previous "immortality" mechanics machine leaders had, where they frequently died in random accidents, have been removed. Machine leaders have a starting age of 5-10 years, a base lifespan of 100 years (robots have a base of 80 years), and are affected by lifespan boosting effects.

For a whopping 3 points Very Strong provides a +40% bonus to army damage and a +5% bonus to worker jobs. Everyone asks the same question. "Why does it cost three points?" The Strong trait provides half the bonuses but is only one point and so the first option for improvement here will surprise no one.

Some traits are negative and have a negative cost, refunding points into the pool. Each species is limited to a maximum of 5 traits; traits that cost 0 points do not count against this limit but can only be acquired from certain origins, events, or ascension perks.

If you are fighting a large empire, multiple fleets of gunboats and interceptor corvettes are ideal with large numbers and perhaps 1-2 cruisers in said fleet, with a battleship and its escorts being your head fleet to bombard worlds and escort transport fleets.

Respect. Respect, when demonstrated consistently, is one of the most important things a leader can do. It helps ease tensions and conflict, fosters trust, and improves your effectiveness.

It can be increased by thrusters, by the combat computer for some hull sizes, and by Auxiliary modules like the Enigmatic Encoder and by having surplus power in the ship design. The evasion rate is capped at 90%; because of this, tracking higher than 90% has no benefit.

Declare rivals as quickly as possible, and make sure you consistently have three. Grab the Ascension perk for -20% influence cost for Starbases, and Claims. Once you trasition out of early, early game; Get as many vassals as you can as each vassal you can build a holding that grants you +1 influence/month.
