Bad vibes again

Bad vibes again. Can still hear thunder in the distance.

Michael Oliver, the referee, was talking to the players - in particular, the two captains. For now though, the second half is underway

I would guess he has told them that, if it comes over the stadium again, he wants them off straight away.

We shall see.

Back under way

46' Germany 0-0 Denmark

No! We are back up and running.

Obviously the referee and the relevant authorities are happy to continue based on how things are set with the weather currently.

Denmark kick off to Christian Eriksen.

Here we go.

Michael Oliver having a word with the captains

Hmm, referee Michael Oliver is having a chat to the two team captains.

Information relating to the weather, seemingly...

He's pointing up to the sky and smiling.

Might there be a delay to the restart in proceedings?

Who does history favour?

Denmark have only won one of their 16 matches at the European Championships when drawing at half time (Drawn four, lost 11).

Positive news for Germany...

On the other hand, Germany have not won (in 90 or 120 minutes) in their last five major tournament games that were goal-less at half-time.

They last time they did was the 2014 World Cup final, where they beat Argentina 1-0 thanks to Mario Gotze's goal late into extra time.

Positive news for Denmark...

Haas vs Haas

The Formula One crossover we didn't know we needed, here.

The two drivers for the American-owned F1 team are German Nico Hulkenberg and Dane Kevin Magnussen.

They're enjoying watching the game together. Or maybe they're too nervous to enjoy it!

Aaaand breathe

An incident-packed first half.

Germany raced out of the blocks, Denmark held them off.

Then the players were brought off due to the adverse weather conditions, in a pause lasting 24 minutes and 30 seconds.

Germany looked very good immediately after the pause, but Denmark's Rasmus Hojlund had two great chances right at the end of the half.

Great save from Neuer

That was such an important intervention from Manuel Neuer, diving at the feet of Rasmus Hojlund after Christian Eriksen and Thomas Delaney combined to release the Manchester United forward.

It stemmed from a careless pass from Robert Andrich on the halfway line.

A warning for Germany just before the half-time whistle.

Super Hojlund chance

Denmark showing some real attacking intent now. It's Hojlund again with the chance, from a brilliant breakaway.

But this time Neuer is off his goal-line and does really well to charge down the shot. Encouraging nonetheless for the team in red.

Denmark one-on-one... saved by Neuer!

45' Germany 0-0 Denmark

Right on the brink of half-time, Manuel Neuer saves Germany.

A poor ball from Jamal Musiala to Robert Andrich, the ball lost, Denmark break rapidly. A Dane, I think Skov Olsen, plays it quickly to the playmaker, the talisman, Christian Eriksen.

His bright first-time pass to the onrushing Thomas Delaney sees Delaney completely away. Antonio Rudiger sprints over, Delaney plays it left in search of Rasmus Hojlund - sprinting at full pelt in support - and it's a great idea, wrong execution.

The clever sideways pass is maybe a little bit over-hit, forcing Hojlund wide and left rather than into his path, but he's still one-on-one with Manuel Neuer.

And Neuer sprints out to block his attempted chip. Smashed away by Andrich. Great chance! And...

Denmark's best chance

How many times do we see that with Rasmus Hojlund? Denmark's best chance so far.

It was Schlotterbeck who got into a tangle in his own penalty area.

Hojlund took the ball off him but needed to show some composure with his finish. Instead, it was a wild, slashing shot into the side-netting.

What is Schlotterbeck doing?!

43' Germany 0-0 Denmark

Nico Schlotterbeck could have given his side the lead early on with a towering header, and has generally looked solid at the back, albeit Germany haven't had to do too much defending.

Until now... he intercepts the ball deep inside his own area, tries a very risky dribble, loses the ball clumsily, allowing Rasmus Hojlund to pick it up.

He has a tight angle only, but Hojlund rather snatches at it, tensely, and lashes it high and into the side netting, when maybe low and across the goalkeeper to the far post was the right call.

Easy to say with hindsight though.

Delaney harshly penalised

40' Germany 0-0 Denmark

That seems tough on Denmark.

Thomas Delaney maybe doesn't quite see Nico Schlotterbeck coming over his left shoulder, in his blind spot. To me, it looks like the German defender barges Delaney over - or at least comes out best on a shoulder-to-shoulder challenge, then goes down with arms flailing.

Schlotterbeck wins the foul despite Delaney being sprawled on the floor. Hmm.

Toni Kroos curls it in, header misjudged by Vestergaard, Denmark wanted the foul as Germany rose for a header. And in the aftermath, the usually composed Kasper Hjulmand is shown a yellow card by ref Michael Oliver, presumably for his protests.

Great save Schmeichel!

37' Germany 0-0 Denmark

One, then two brilliant headed chances for Germany! They've carried on after the break in the same fashion they started the match - full of urgency and intensity.

And two fine crosses create two very decent openings.

First, Kai Havertz nods it goalwards from David Raum's searching cross from the left wing and Kasper Schmeichel spreads himself well to block. It was fairly central - either side and that's the goal.

Then, seconds later, Nico Schlotterbeck heads it into the side-netting.

And we're back. Hopefully no more weather bulletins necessary.

That was a 24-minute delay in the end. And several thousand tweets comparing it to Old Trafford in the meantime.

Bonus points to the Danish fans who decided to make the most of it and have a shower under one of the cascades.

There are no puddles or obvious effects of the downpour and the ball is rolling and bouncing normally.

Denmark restart with goal kick

36' Germany 0-0 Denmark

Germany sportingly kick the ball out for a Denmark goal kick.

Kasper Schmeichel has just taken it and there are around 10 minutes left before half-time.

How will that delay affect the match?

So it will be a break of around 24 minutes between coming off and restarting.
