thinking about that time when i was 9 years old and i stole my mom’s credit card, signed us up for AOL internet, and started chatting with a girl about ten years my senior in Massachusetts. as you could imagine, it was the most trouble i had ever gotten into at that point

@mcuban @uspto Whew these are some old *** ideas still being put forward on these platforms. Has anyone seen how awful live chat is during YouTube live streams? Thinking back we really haven’t cleaned up community chat rooms as much as we should have even dating back to the AOL dialup days!

@NathanBLawrence I had a concurrency bug in a Windows app I wrote for AOL/TalkTalk about 10 years ago that turned the Systray icon green instead of blue and I never got to the bottom of it and I still think about it a couple of times a month.

@Spechal_K I know a couple people who do.They are teased regularly, but it hasn't stopped them.As far as things to regret, this frankly seems pretty far down on the list!As long as you're not hanging onto all the AOL floppies & CDs from the 1990s & early 2000s, you're fine.

If the internet weren't so insidious for an innocent, I wouldn't care. But we're not in the AOL days anymore. And why are we buying the digital version of a show I bought you on DVD? Is this how you tell me it's broken?
